Did you sit under the stars last summer at Linden Field watching your favorite childhood movies? Were you looking forward to laying out your blanket next to friends, neighbors and family members to enjoy this year’s lineup of movies in the park?

If so, we need your support. The free outdoor movie tradition that started in 2008 will die unless we have the support of the community to keep it alive. Licensing & Screening fees and add up to about $1,000 per show.

Please consider the following benefits of Carpinteria Movies in the Park:

  • Hundreds of people are provided with a free, wholesome, well-loved experience for each week. During a down economy, this is an invaluable opportunity.
  • Young people, who have few opportunities for safe, family-oriented fun during Carpinteria’s evening hours, are eager participants in the series.
  • Local nonprofit, Girls Inc. provides refreshments & prepackaged snacks at the event, giving them an additional opportunity to raise money for the community services they provide.
  • Movie-goers patronize downtown businesses and restaurants prior to watching the films. Rather than driving out of town to find entertainment and eateries, locals and visitors support Carpinteria businesses.
  • The series is a throwback to the drive-in era. It provides a charming venue and a unique experience for all ages.

One of our sponsors,

Variations of "Carpinteria Movies in the Park" ! That goes to tell you how very popular your program is, and how being a sponsor has benefited our organization, in terms of gaining exposure."
